Today will be my first day out of the house after Sundays “knife incident”
I have a packed day of client meetings, art submission and buying of art supplies. Here’s to hoping that nothing injures my foot….
Siuper in “Clear Skies”
I have wanted to re-do this earlier Siuper for quite sometime now. The Hulk versus Loki!
I ended up doing two versions to change it up a bit.

I spent the best part of last night over at the Accident and Emergency ward near my home here in Shanghai. A simple steak and salad turned nasty when the kitchen knife fell on my foot and left a deep cut in the top of my foot. Things wouldn’t have been so bad if I hadn’t just sharpened the knife to cut tomatoes!
The doctor said I was lucky as the knife had cut through the tendon sheath connecting my big toe, but luckily not the tendon itself. Otherwise i would have needed surgery or lose the use of my big toe! Scary stuff for what was supposed to be a quite night in watching Transformers Prime! I ended up having 4/5 stitches to seal up the wound and have been told to stay in bed and off my foot for the next few days. The local hospital and doctor and nurses were very polite and friendly towards non-Chinese speaking patients. It was my first encounter at a local Chinese hospital and although it was packed on a Sunday night, everyone helped to get us in and out as soon as possible.
The only thing that freaked me out was the blood stains splatted over the wall in the x-ray room! I wish i had gotten a picture of that!

After a two-week holiday (national holiday here in China) Batboy is back one last time with the aid of Wonder Baby!
Batboy parody continues and this time it’s based on the classic series by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, called the Long Halloween. The epic tale is told over 13 issues and follows the story of a serial murderer called Holiday, He murders his victims on a holiday each month of the year. It takes batman and all his detective skills to find the serial killer before he strikes again! This is what Batman stories are all about detective work and kicking ass! This is my interpretation of what the long Halloween is all about.. candy!!!
My week-long run on Batman is coming to an end…almost so here is my take on an absolute classic batman cover from the seminal graphic novel. Batman: The Dark knight Returns by Frank Miller of 300 (the movie) fame.
A classic batman story is the Frank Miller take on Batman’s first year in the cape and cowl called, Batman: Year One.

Had this one in my head for a few days now so glad to finally put pen to paper. My version of the Batman Brady Bunch title credits!
I may even try to create an animated gif at some point…
Today’s Siuper is a little late and a bit simple… apologies, I had a very early morning start, waking at 5:15am to take part in a new TV show call “the Lane” my role is rather minor as the editor-in-chief of Elle Magazine! Hopefully it will get picked up by the International channel here in Shanghai and i can reprise the role I play in the pilot!

Today’s Siuper actually plays off both the new Batman trilogy and the old Tim Burton Batman Movies. The joker always seemed to have a real hatred of Batman, maybe because he was the social order for society and the Joker felt he had to right the balance of justice with injustice OR maybe the batman wasn’t always the hero he is today…
